Important Mobile Worx Instructions

Between 12:00am -12:45am Eastern Daylight Time on June 13th we will be rolling out a new load balancer in our environment. At this time, access to TheWorxHub will be unreliable. This new load balancer will ensure an even level of application performance throughout all times of the day.

After this load balancer is deployed all mobile users will need to take action to reboot their device, then clear the browser cache and cookies. The full instructions for iOS (Apple), Android 4.0 or lower and Android 4.1 or greater are below.

Note, for those in Central, Mountain, Pacific or Hawaii timezones, this change is occuring on the evening of the 12th.

If your mobile users work offline, ensure they connect to TheWorxHub while online prior to 12:00 eastern time to upload any offline changes because the following instructions will remove all offline data. During the timeframe of 12:00am-12:45 eastern, offline access will be unavailable.

Instructions of iOS (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad)

Reboot the Device

  • Hold down the power button at the top of the device.
  • When prompted, move the slider to the right to power off the device.
  • Once the device is powered off, press the power button again to turn on the device

Clear Safari Cache and Cookies

  • From the home screen, tap settings.

  • Tap Clear History, then tap Clear Cookies and Data. 
  • Note: older devices will have 3 buttons you'll need to tap -- Clear History, Clear Cookies and Clear Cache.

IOS7 Update: If you're running IOS7 you might need to also click Advanced > Website Data > scroll to the bottom of the page and tap 'Remove all Website Data'

Launch TheWorxHub

Now launch TheWorxHub app as you normally would. You'll need to login again and now you can continue work as normal. If you work offline, it is now safe to sync your data to go offline again.


 

Instructions for Android 4.0 or Lower (aka Ice Cream Sandwich, Honeycomb, Gingerbread, Froyo)

Reboot the Device

  • Press and hold the power button.
  • When prompted, confirm you wish to power off the device.
  • Once the device is powered off, press the power button again to turn it on.

Clear Browsing Data

  • Tap your Browser

Press Menu Button

  • While in your browser, press your menu button. This is a hardware button on your device, and depending on your device, this could look similar to the images below.

Tap Settings

  • Depending on your version you might have to tap More, then Settings.

  • In some versions you might be able to access Settings immediately from the Menu.

In Privacy area, Clear Cache, Clear History and Clear Cookie data

  • You might need to tap an option for Privacy and Security to access these options, or they might appear immediately in the long list of options grouped under a Privacy Settings.

Launch TheWorxHub

Now launch TheWorxHub app as you normally would. You'll need to login again and now you can continue work as normal. If you work offline, it is now safe to sync your data to go offline again. 

 


 

Instructions for Android 4.1 or greater (aka Jelly Bean)

Reboot the Device

  • Press and hold the power button.
  • When prompted, confirm you wish to power off the device.
  • Once the device is powered off, press the power button again to turn it on.

Clear Browsing Data

  • Tap your Browser (Chrome)

  • Select Browsing History, Cache and Cookies/Site Data then tap Clear

Now launch TheWorxHub app as you normally would. You'll need to login again and now you can continue work as normal. If you work offline, it is now safe to sync your data to go offline again.
